My Backstory

Hi! My name is Sky, and I've been volunteering at a dog shelter called Halfway Home for over a year. Some dogs have been at the shelter for longer than that. The number of them is steadily going up, and many are vaccinated, healthy, and ready for homes. I'm trying to get the dogs adopted into families that provide them more care and freedom than a shelter can.

My own family adopted a dog named Nova (on the right) from Halfway Home, and unfortunately, after about a year we had to give her away. If the situation had been different, she may have ended up in a shelter again or even on the streets, and this is the case for many dogs. I'm doing my best to prevent this! My project is basically to keep dogs safe and happy.
